Man, 77, dies in Riverside crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 77-year-old man died in a crash in Riverside on Wednesday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said Hue Nguyen was heading eastbound on Dancy Street at Park Street about 9:30 a.m. when he ran a red light and was struck in the right front side by an SUV.

Nguyen's car then continued on and struck a wall on Park Street.

Nguyen was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police said they're unsure if a medical condition caused him to crash.

No one else was hurt in the crash.

No one in the SUV faces charges.

The crash closed the streets for more than an hour.

Police said eastbound Park Street traffic was being diverted onto Rennsselaer Avenue and westbound traffic onto Wolfe Street.
