Man barricaded in Jacksonville Beach home surrenders

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -

Police say a despondent man in his 20s who barricaded himself in a home near Seabreeze Elementary School has surrendered.

On Tueday morning, police surrounded in the 1800 block of Horn Street, within two blocks of the school.  School officials say the school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Channel 4's Jason Law reported that the man surrendered about 11 a.m. and the lockout was being lifted.
