A 30-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted Tuesday evening on charges of traveling to meet a minor to do unlawful acts, unlawful use of a two-way device, and solicitation of a child's guardian to allow a sexual act.

Steven Scharfenstine was arrested in March in Operation Don't Play in Clay. As part of the undercover sting, multiple agencies -- the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the FBI, and the Florida Department of law Enforcement -- corresponded with people online.

After three days of online conversations with undercover officers, Scharfenstine set up a meeting to have sex with two young girls, ages 12 and 14, in Clay County.

Deputies arrested Scharfenstine when he arrived at the arranged meeting location.

Scharfenstine faces 15 years in prison when he's sentenced Jan. 10.
