The cause is still under investigation but officials believe a heater may have been the cause of the deadly fire.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 72-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a house fire just off Edison Avenue and Stockton Street on the Westside.

The fire broke out about 5 a.m. at the house on Wade Drive, but it spread to the houses on either side before firefighters got it under control.

Detective Andy Redding of the State Fire Marshal's Office says foul play is not suspected. Investigators say a space heater was in the room with the victim, but they cannot yet conclusively say that was the source of the fire.
