A man charged with killing two central Florida teens earlier this year has been sentenced to life in prison.

With his trial set to begin Monday in Orange County, 31-year-old Jesse Brandon Davis pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of kidnapping. Hector Rodriguez is scheduled to be tried on the same charges next year.

Authorities say two Winter Park High School students - 16-year-old Nicholas Presha and 18-year-old Jeremy Stewart - met Davis and Rodriguez in April, intending to sell them two stolen handguns. But the teens were robbed and shot with at least one of the stolen guns.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the teens' bodies were later found burning on a charred patch of grass along the Cady Way Trail.
