A man in his early 60s was found dead in a locked shed Friday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police did a well-being check at a home Thursday night in the 5400 block of Leaming Avenue on the Westside, but didn't find anyone there.

They went back Friday morning and found one man in the yard and another in the house. Neither live there, but one had a key to the house.

The occupant, whose identity was not immediately released, was found in the shed.

Police believe he'd been dead for a couple of days, and detectives are treating his death as suspicious, though they said there was no obvious trauma.

Police said the two suspects were taken in for questioning.
