Man robs Subway restaurant in Hastings

St. Johns County, Fla. -

Deputies in St. Johns County are searching for the man who robbed a Subway restaurant in Hastings.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on West Church Street.

Witnesses told deputies that the suspect entered the restaurant and ordered a meal. After the meal was served, the suspect told employees he was armed and ordered them to give him cash from the register.

The suspect was described as a man between 25 to 30 years old and 6 feet tall and weighing 250 pounds. Witnesses told deputies the suspect wore a white shirt, dark pants, a gold watch and appeared to have a "sleeve" tattoo on his right arm.
