Man sought after stealing laptop, firearm from car

Police are looking for a many they said stole a laptop, a firearm and a checkbook from a car at a Southside apartment complex last week.

The car was burglarized at the Sonoma Southside Condominiums overnight Nov. 1. The burglary was reported to police about 10 a.m. that day.

Soon after the burglary, the man tried to deposit one of the stolen checks at a local ATM.

Anyone with any information on the burglar's identity is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
