A 27-year-old Holly Hill man was arrested by Flagler County deputies Monday evening on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia after the man was stopped for reckless driving.

Deputies responded to a gas station on Boulder Rock Drive about 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an apparent drunken driver who had left Interstate 95 and headed westbound on Palm Coast Parkway.

Deputies said they located the vehicle at the gas station with the driver, William Corrigan, of Holly Hill, sitting inside the vehicle and the motor running. Inside the vehicle, deputies found knives, a gun and a locked black bag. Inside the bag, there were batteries, needles, butane and other items consistent with manufacturing methamphetamine, deputies said.

Investigators said they also found methamphetamine in a pill box, as well as cocaine and other narcotics.

Corrigan was also charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of cocaine.

He was booked into the Flagler County Inmate Facility, where he was being held with bail set at $17,000.
