A 38-year-old Palm Coast man was slightly injured Wednesday morning during a home invasion on Slowdrift Turn in Palm Coast, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

The man and his wife, also 38, told deputies that as the two were sitting at the kitchen table about 7:45 a.m., three men, all wearing black ski masks and gloves, forcibly entered their home carrying handguns.

The woman was forced to lie face down on the floor by one of the home invaders, while another pointed a gun at the man. The home invader then grabbed the man from behind, placed him in a choke hold and struck him twice in the head, possibly with the butt of the handgun. The man then was forced to lay face down on the floor.

A third home invader went upstairs and then shortly came back down, telling his accomplices that they needed to leave.

The victim said the robbers took an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry. Holiday gifts displayed in the home and valuable electronic items were not taken, according to the victim.

The man refused medical attention for his injuries.

Anyone with information on the home invasion is asked to call the Flagler County Sheriff's Office at 386-313-4911.
