FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -

A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Flagler County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

State troopers said Robert Trainham, of Palm Coast, was heading north on Belle Terre Boulevard, south of State Road 100, about 2:30 p.m.

Troopers said Trainham failed to properly negotiate a curve in the roadway and veered into the southbound lane, striking the front of a pickup truck driven by 56-year-old Eduardo Borges.

Trainham was thrown from the motorcycle onto the grass shoulder. He died at the scene.

Borges suffered minor injuries but refused transport to a hospital.

Troopers said charges are pending.
