JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

No students were hurt in the crash of a school bus on Roosevelt Boulevard Tuesday morning, according to a spokeswoman for Duval County Public Schools.

Sometime after 7 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident on Roosevelt and Wabash Avenue. It's unclear what caused the crash or if other cars are involved.

The bus was a parent-contracted bus that takes students to magnet schools, spokeswoman Jill Johnson said.

After the crash, students were put on another school bus and continued on to Kirby Smith Middle School.

When Channel 4 arrived at the scene, the bus was off the road in a parking lot. The windshield appeared to be missing, but there was no other apparent damage to the vehicle.

This story will be updated as new information becomes available.
