KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -

A Keystone Heights bar will not be open Tuesday following an early morning fire, according to Clay County Fire Rescue.

Fire-Rescue received a call around 4:26 a.m. from a passerby who reported flames and smoke coming from The White Elephant.

The White Elephant is an old standing bar establishment in Keystone Heights, according to Deputy David Motes, of Clay County Fire Rescue.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire with the help of the Bradford County Fire Department and several other Clay County stations, according to Motes.

No occupants or firefighters were injured from the fire.

The business will not be able to immediately return to service due to the extensive damage to the building.

The fire was reported out about 5 a.m. The cause is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
