Pedestrian dies 3 weeks after being hit by car

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are asking for help finding the car that struck a 54-year-old man who was crossing Lem Turner Road on Nov. 2.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Gregory Brunson died Friday of injuries sustained in the crash.

Police say an older model white four-door vehicle driving south on Lem Turner about 8:50 p.m. struck Brunson. He was transported to the hospital, where he died three weeks later.

Anyone with any information about the hit-and-run or suspect vehicle is asked to call the traffic homicide unit at 904-630-2178 or email JSOCrimeTips@JaxSheriff.org. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward, call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
