Pedestrian hit, killed in Westside motorcycle crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A pedestrian was killed and two people are in serious condition after a motorcycle crash on Jacksonville's Westside, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 103rd Street at Norde Drive West.

According to the crash report, a 1999 Harley-Davidson ridden by Daniel Young, 46, was eastbound on 103rd Street and struck Earnest Williams, 44, who was walking across the 103rd Street.

After impact, the motorcycle overturned, throwing Young and his 47-year-old passenger, Jamie Young, off the motorcycle.

Jacksonville Fire-Rescue pronounced Williams dead at the scene. The Youngs were both transported to Orange Park Medical Center in serious condition.

According to the crash report, the Youngs were both wearing helmets.
