A woman was carjacked in Altamonte Springs, leading to a police chase that ended with the stolen car in a retention pond, officials said.

The carjacking happened around 4 a.m. Monday near Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.

Police spotted the vehicle and a brief pursuit took place on Interstate 4 before the car crashed into a retention pond in Lake Mary.

A man and a teen were arrested.

The carjacking victim, who is expected to be OK, said she thought three men confronted her, but police are not actively searching for another culprit.
