JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A tree trimmer was killed on the job Monday evening when a limb fell on him.

The accident happened about 6 p.m. at a home on Ortega Forest Drive. Police said 41-year-old Michael Urbaniak, of Atlantic Beach, was cutting limbs at a home when a large branch fell, hitting him on the head. Rescue personnel called to the scene were unable to revive Urbaniak.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office police said no one was living in the house, so it was unclear who had hired the tree-trimming service.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene, but there was not indication Urbaniak's death was anything other than an accident.
