Police in Glynn County have charged a 38-year-old Brunswick man in connection with three business burglaries dating back to July.

Johnny Lee Thomas was arrested Thursday.

Police said that the first burglary was reported about 1:40 a.m. July 6 at an OM Food Mart at 1306 Old Jesup Road. Police said Thomas stole $100 worth of cigarettes and $20 in pornographic magazines. They said he broke in by shattering the front doors.

Police said Thomas also burglarized a Friendly Express at 4902 Darien Highway about 5:45 a.m. Sunday. Investigators said he stole $926 worth of cigarettes. They said he also shattered the front doors to gain entry.

Investigators said Thomas then shattered a front window of a Chooses 7 store at 7552 Blythe Island Highway about 3:20 a.m. Thursday. They said he stole an unknown amount of cigarettes.

Thomas had been charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary on July 14 in reference to an
