JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 40-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested and charged with murder in the killing of another man Friday night at an apartment complex in Mandarin.

Peter Klemm is accused of shooting and killing his friend, 34-year-old John James, in the Hunters Way complex in the 10100 block of Arrowhead Drive.

Police said the two had been out drinking and got into an argument at a bar. They left separately, but live in the same apartment complex, police said.

Investigators said Klemm got his brother to drive him home, and then he got a handgun and went to James' apartment.

James ran, with Klemm chasing after him, and Klemm's brother trying to stop him, police said.

Police said Klemm shot James in the throat, and his brother tackled him, holding him until officers arrived.
