A 20-year-old St. Augustine woman is facing seven counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after an unsuccessful attempt to collect a debt, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Brianna Holman drove to Luther Drive around 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon to collect a $300 debt from Jeritz Jones, a Palm Coast resident.

When Jeritz told Holman he did not have the money, an argument ensued until another resident of the home told Holman to leave, deputies said. They said she refused and went to her vehicle, where she got a large knife.

Witnesses said Holman then threatened to stab two people, and one of the residents armed himself with a baseball bat.

Deputies said the situation continued to escalate after the resident used the bat to strike the window of Holman’s vehicle. Holman got back into her vehicle, backed out of the driveway and then accelerated toward the people standing outside the home in an attempt to strike them with the vehicle, according to a police report.

She lost control, however, and her vehicle wound up striking a minvan that was parked in the driveway, deputies said. They said her vehicle struck the other with such force that the minvan was pushed into the garage door, causing damage to the door and the house.

Holman was arrested by deputies as she stood in the median of the road, holding a knife and shouting directly in front of the Luther Drive home, deputies said.

She was being held in the Flagler County Inmate Facility with bail set at $7,000.
