Passenger in van taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with life-threatening injuries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in the Arlington area. Detectives are trying to figure out who opened fire on a van, wounding a 26-year-old man.

It happened at around 6 pm. Thursday at Searchwood Drive and Anvil Road in Arlington.

Ayoub Ibrahim was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police were interviewing the driver of the van, but they do not believe he was involved in the shooting.

Police said they're looking for a White SUV with front-end damage seen leaving the area.
