Mandarin fight between two friends turns deadly

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

An argument ended in gunfire Friday night outside an apartment in the Hunters Way complex on Arrowhead Drive in Mandarin according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO officers say the victim and a friend got into an argument earlier Friday at a bar. The argument continued into the evening.

Witnesses say they heard numerous gunshots in the courtyard of the apartment complex off Crown Point road.

Police say the shooter's brother held him down at gunpoint until officers arrived and took him into custody.

“Both the victim and the suspect do live in the apartment complex” Sgt. Shawn Coarsey said.

The names of the man killed and the man arrested were not released at the scene.
