Police try to ID convenience store robber

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police in Jacksonville are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store Saturday night on the Westside.

Investigators said the man went into the store in the 7500 block of Shindler Drive about 9 p.m.

They said the man pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at the store clerk standing behind the counter, demanded money, made her place money in a brown paper bag, took the bag and then ran out of the store.

Anyone who knows the man's identity is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
