JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

If you live in Florida and purchased a birthday cake from Publix in the last week, pay attention.

The grocery store chain is recalling about 45 cake products over possible listeria contamination. They were sold in several Florida stores between Nov. 11 and 15.

In question: the 7-inch chocolate layer cake used to make the recalled desserts.

No illnesses have been reported, but the company is issuing the recall as a precaution.

Buyers can return it for a full refund.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes deadly infections in children, the elderly and those with a weak immune system.
