PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -

The son of Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy was arrested Thursday on multiple counts of larceny, dealing in stolen goods and fraud.

Joshua Imm, 29, is accused of stealing metal from his stepfather and selling it to a scrap yard, according to a police report.

Imm said there was no theft involved, and it was just a misunderstanding. Investigators said he admitted taking the materials.

Imm was booked into the Putnam County jail with bail set at $9,024.

He was arrested in 2010 on meth charges.

Hardy is not commenting on the arrest.
