JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Residents in Arlington are reacting to a SWAT Standoff that ended peacefully on Saturday night.

Police said they were called to a home on Tidewater Circle over an incident that began during a domestic dispute.

According to authorities, a man threatened his wife with a gun.

Police have not released the identity of the man.

Neighbors said their neighborhood is usually quiet, and the man keeps to himself.

“Well, we've lived here over 20 years and they've been here quite a while and we've never had a problem like that, so it's probably just an isolated incident,” said Deborah Plant. “He's been a good neighbor. He's been concerned about us and he always came over to see if we were OK.”

Neighbors said they were surprised by how patient the police were during the situation.

According to residents, authorities politely asked couple to come out of the home, but later had to fire tear gas inside.
