JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A semi truck collided with a car in the Arlington area Thursday night, sources say.

It happened at the intersection of Merrill and Fort Caroline roads.

One person was trapped in the vehicle, rescued and then transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a source said.

The driver of the semi was checked out, but was said to be OK.

Hazmat was also called to the scene to contain fuel that was leaking from the semi.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office investigators were working to determine the cause of the accident.
