Superintendent Vitti schedules 5 more town meetings

The public is invited to attend a town hall meeting Monday night, hosted by Duval County's new school superintendent, Dr. Nikolai Vitti.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

School Superintendent Nikolai Vitti has scheduled five more town hall meetings to speak with parents and community members about his vision for Duval County's public schools.

Parents and guardians with students of all ages are invited to attend and participate. Dr. Vitti would like feedback from all who are invested in the success of public schools.

Vitti held meetings in December at Terry Parker HIgh School and Wednesday at Fletcher High School.  To achieve one of his initial goals of holding meetings in every School Member's district, he has set the following five meetings:

Tuesday, January 8, 6 p.m.

  • Englewood High, 4412 Barnes Road


Tuesday, January 15,  6 p.m.

  • Ribault High, 3701 Winton Drive

Thursday, January 17, 6 p.m.

  • Raines High, 3663 Raines Avenue


Tuesday, January 22, 6 p.m.

  • Ed White High, 1700 Old Middleburg Road


Thursday, January 24, 2013, 6 p.m.

  • Mandarin High, 4831 Greenland Road
