Suspicious odor cleared
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police cleared the scene at a Northwest Jacksonville home early Friday morning after investigating possible drug activity.

Police said crews were called to the home around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 3600 block of Frances Avenue.

A neighbor told firemen at Station 34 that there was a strong odor coming from the home. When JSO officers arrived, they said they could smell it, too.

Officers detained the residents of the home for questioning after they came outside. Two or three home nearby were evacuated.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said early Friday morning no suspicious activity was found at the home and the odor dissipated.
