WINTER PARK, Fla. -

An ambulance carrying a patient to a hospital crashed into a ditch in Winter Park, but no one was injured, officials said.

The Rural Metro ambulance crashed around 3 a.m. Tuesday on Wymore Road just north of Lee Road while heading to a Lakeside Behavioral Healthcare facility.

Officials said the ambulance, carrying a driver, a paramedic and the patient, veered off the road for an unknown reason and became wedged in the ditch.

Another ambulance took the patient to the health facility.

A tow truck later removed the ambulance from the ditch.

Winter Park police continue to investigate the crash.
