JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It's almost time for the Jacksonville Home and Patio Show and you can be a part of a community art project with the launch of Tile for a ticket Thursday.  Kathleen Rough, artist and Art educator and her husband Kenny Rough of Roux Art are making the project happen.

For the launch of "Tile For a Ticket Thursday" Guests can bring in leftover ceramic tile from a home project, pieces of broken china or old flower pots to the show, and donate them toward a public art project "Let's Tile the Town" community project spearheaded by Roux Art.

Guests can also collaborate on the project with hands-on demos, and watch it transform over the four-day show. Any guest donating tile or china for the project will get an exclusive BOGO deal- buy one, get one free ticket to the show.

"Everyone has tile left around from a kitchen re-do or whatever," Rough says. "And if you bring in tile then you get two tickets for the price of one on Thursday."

The tile will become a part of a mosaic of the Jacksonville skyline that will be displayed in a Jacksonville public library.
