PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -

The St. Johns County Utility Department has turned off the water to about 50 customers in Ponte Vedra Beach on Thursday morning to repair a damaged water line.

The water was turned back on around 6 a.m. Thursday, but a boil water advisory remains in effect as a precautionary measure.

The outage affected 47 homes and three businesses in Ponte Vedra Beach.

A boil water notice was issued for the following addresses:

  • 101 – 147 Willow Pond Lane
  • 100 and 151 Sawgrass Corners Drive
  • 10033 Sawgrass Drive West

All water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes should be boiled first. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used.
