Chart House bomb squad callout
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad blew up a briefcase they said was suspicious at the Chart House Restaurant on the Southbank late Tuesday morning.

Investigators were called to the restaurant on Riverplace Boulevard about 8:30 a.m.

Crews sent a robot in to check the briefcase near the edge of the St. Johns River. They blew it up just before 11:30 a.m. and it was deemed safe.

There were no evacuations, and everything was reopened a short time later.
