Bridge of Lions 5K calls for traffic re-routing

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -

A 5K race taking place Saturday, July 26 will bring about some traffic rerouting in the downtown St. Augustine area.

The race begins at 7:30 A.M. Runners will run south on Avenida Menendez using the northbound lane and cross over the Bridge of Lions. The Bridge of Lions will be closed to all vehicles and boats passing beneath.

The race continues north on Gerado Street and through various roads up to the finish line at Oglethorpe Park. Roads throughout the Davis Shores area on the north side of Anastasia Boulevard should be avoided.

Traffic along Avenida Menendez and the Bridge of Lions should return to its normal flow by 8:00 A.M. and the race should be over by 9:00 A.M.

  • Arpieka Avenue
  • Arredondo Avenue
  • Comares Avenue
  • Flagler Boulevard
  • Gerado Street
  • Inlet Drive
  • Oglethorpe Boulevard
  • St. Augustine Boulevard
  • Zorayda Avenue
