The Department of Justice said the couple's sentences were handed down in connection to their involvement in a tax refund scheme and Estella Wright's conviction on seven counts of aggravated identity theft.

The Justice Department said the court ordered both to pay $210,737.97 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service and $1,500 to an identity theft victim.

Court documents say from September 2007 through 2008, Estella Wright stole the IDs from people she worked with during her time at a temporary staffing agency, according to the DOJ. The Justice Department also said Wright provided those identifications to her co-conspirators to fraudulently file tax returns.

The DOJ said the tax returns caused a total of $816,384 to be deposited into Dorian and Estella Wright's bank accounts.

Both pleaded guilty to the charges.
