JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 61-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Tuesday afternoon to 30 years in prison followed by lifetime probation for the molestation of a child.

Feliciano Montijo was convicted last month on one count of lewd or lascivious molestation of a minor.

In July 2010, the 6-year-old boy was under the care of Montijo for the evening. During that time, he inappropriately touched the victim, even though the boy repeatedly asked him to stop.

The victim disclosed to his mother what had happened and she immediately notified authorities.

Montijo fled the state and was later arrested.
