Clay County school vandals arrested

3 teens face felony charges

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Three teens, one 14-year-old and two 13-year-olds, have been arrested in connection with the burglary and vandalism of Clay County school.

The teens, who will not be identified, were arrested after all three were allegedly witnessed exiting Oakleaf Junior High School Tuesday night.

Police said inside the school there were toilets stopped up, pictures and derogatory words written on the walls and animals' cages opened with the alleged intent of releasing livestock kept on school property.

Police believe two of the teens arrested may have also been involved in a burglary of the school on May 12, where two fire extinguishers were discharged and an American flag was vandalized.

The teens are facing felony charges of burglary to a structure, grand theft of fire extinguisher and vandalism of $1,000 or more.
