Corrections officer, son arrested in sale of prescription pain pills

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A corrections officer from Baker Correctional Institution and his son were arrested Wednesday on charges of selling prescription pills out of their home.

Clayton Whitley II, 45, and his son Clayton Whitley III, 22, were under investigation beginning in December after Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents received a tip that the father was selling oxycodone and Dilaudid out of his Jacksonville home.

Whitley II is charged with selling oxycodone and Dilaudid. Whitley III was arrested in the sale of oxycodone.

The Florida Department of Corrections and the office of the inspector general assisted in the arrest.
