Officers said they found no signs of forced entry or a gun inside.

Neighbors said the death has made them uneasy.

"I heard about 4 or 5 gunshots and next thing I know I see 2 guys running to the car and taking off," a neighbor who didn't want to be identified told News4Jax Monday night.

Officers also said they were interviewing several people in the area to determine what happened. The unnamed neighbor told Channel 4 his neighborhood is usually a quiet and enjoyable place to live.

"Mostly everyone here gets along. We all talk. We're all neighbors. No one tries to bother anyone. Everyone helps everybody. It's a nice place," he said.

When News4Jax approached the home where the person was killed Sunday, our crews were asked to leave.
