Delta flight diverts to Jax because of generator problem

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A Delta jetliner en route from Atlanta to Sarasota was diverted to Jacksonville International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority.

Officials said the pilots reported a problem with an overheating generator.

The MD-88, with 155 people onboard, landed safely and was being checked by mechanics.
