JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Several flights are grounded and delayed due to the dense fog at the Jacksonville International Airport Thursday morning.

According to a JIA spokesperson conditions are "not meeting visibility standards" of at least 1/4 mile.

Many flights from 6 a.m. to about 7 a.m. have been affected by the dense fog. Flights will resume as soon as visibility improves.

Flights from Miami and flights to Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, New York among others are on a delay as of 7:15 a.m. More delays are forthcoming.

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Northeast Florida Thursday morning until 10 a.m. Conditions may clear up before then, with JIA continuing with flights.
