CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff's Office is investigating the report of a suspicious man seen at CVS in Fleming Island.
Someone in the parking lot of the store on CR-220 saw a man exit his vehicle and place what they believed to be a small pistol in his sock and walk toward the front of CVS.
The witness called the CCSO, believing a robbery was about to take place.
Deputies arrived within three minutes and cleared customers from the store. The man reported to have a gun could not be found.
There was no robbery to the business or any person in the area.
Deputies were reviewing surveillance video to determine if the man entered the store.
