Deputies seek help to ID smash-and-grab suspect

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff's Office released a photo Thursday of a woman deputies believe is connected with a smash-and-grab car burglary last month in Orange Park.

The victim's purse and backpack were stolen out of her car while she was inside the Planet Fitness gym on Wells Road working out. The burglar smashed the window of the car to get the items.

Deputies released a photo of a woman attempting to use the victim's stolen credit card at a drive-thru teller.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to contact the CCSO at 904-264-6512.  Please ask to speak to Detective Daniel Tenbusch.

Deputies remind you that it's far less likely to have property stolen from your car's trunk than from the inside of the car. If thieves can see it, they'll do whatever it takes to get it, including breaking the window.
