Deputies in Clay County are asking for the public's help in identifying a car burglar.

The man was seen on the homeowner's surveillance system between 3 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Nov. 27 at the home on Apalachicola Boulevard in Middleburg.

Deputies said the burglar entered the victim's unlocked GMC SUV and took $18 that was inside. As the burglar was leaving the victim's driveway, he left the doors of the SUV fully open.

Deputies said this case may be related to at least three other car burglaries in the area during the same time frame.

The burglar is described as a white man between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark ball cap, camouflage jacket, dark pants and white sneakers.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the Clay County Sheriff's Office at 904-264-6512.
