JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal accident early Wednesday morning in Southwest Jacksonville.
According to a report released by FHP, a silver GMC Sierra was traveling north on Chaffee Road south of Normandy Blvd. a little after midnight Wednesday.

The report goes on to say that the driver of the GMC Sierra, 57-year-old Clinton Foster, attempted to pass a vehicle traveling north in front of his vehicle. While attempting to pass the vehicle, FHP said, Foster lost control of the vehicle leaving the roadway to the left entering the grassy shoulder and crashing into a tree.
The report indicates that Foster died at the scene of the crash.
