JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

An investigation is underway to figure out what caused a Northside bank drive-through to collapse.

A dispatcher with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to reports that the drive-through collapsed at the Wells Fargo bank located at 899 Dunn Ave. Thursday night.

The JFRD dispatcher said that crews responded to the bank at 8:50 p.m.

A Wells Fargo representative told Channel 4 that no one was hurt during the collapse and that the bank was closed during the incident.

"It happened so fast it was unreal," Missy Elian said. "I had to kind of get my -- did that really happen? So I got on the phone immediately with 911 and said, 'I don't know what I saw,' and they said, 'OK, I would get rescue out there.' And they said, did I see anybody underneath it? And I said, 'No, not that I know of.'"

An assessment is underway to figure out the amount of damage done to the bank.

Officials said the collapse may have been a result of Thursday's heavy rain and wind, but are still investigating the cause.

"It really looked like something out of a movie," Elian said. "It just kind of came in, just kind of came and crashed in like the middle down."

A Wells Fargo representative said the bank will be open Friday, but the drive-through area will be closed until repaired. For those customers who prefer drive through service, Wells Fargo suggests those customers to use the Wells Fargo located at 10740 Balmoral Drive. That bank is about a mile away, just east of Interstate 95.

Representatives said the Wells Fargo on Balmoral Drive will be fully staffed to help customers that normally use the Dunn Avenue Wells Fargo.
