Moving Education Forward was the goal of special forum that brought out dozens of local leaders, including Mayor Alvin Brown and Superintendent Nikolai Vitti to the Prime Osborn Center Saturday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Dr. Nikolai Vitti, Mayor Alvin Brown and other leaders are attending Saturday's ONE by ONE Convention at the Prime Osborn.

The Jacksonville Public Education Fund event is taking place from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.

This is the second annual ONE by ONE Convention: Moving Public Education Forward.

The convention is set to be twice as large as last year, with 400 people expected to attend.

Delegates, a diverse set of public education advocates from all over Duval County, will be reviewing progress made over the last year to further the joint community and district priorities for public education. Then, they will work together to pledge their action items for the upcoming year.

Channel 4 has a crew at the convention and will update this article when more information becomes available.
