JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A new report from the Florida Attorney General's Office shows Duval County has the highest number of newborns addicted to drugs.

There were 215 babies born in Duval with neonatal abstinence syndrome in 2012.

The office says several recommendations are in place to prevent NAS.

They include launching a public awareness campaign, increasing the state's prescription drug monitoring database, and a help line for expectant mothers.

The number to that hot line is 877-233-5656.
