Davon Street Fire
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a Westside home early Thursday morning, according to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.

JFRD said around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, crews were called to a home on 5923 Davon St. near Timuquana Road and Seaboard Avenue in the Wesconnett area.

Fire crews said the fire appeared to have started on the second floor, above the garage. They were able to contain and extinguish fire to the two-story home.

JFRD said no one was inside the home at the time of the fire.

After the initial investigation, the State Fire Marshal said the fire appeared to be suspicious.
