JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Jacksonville police are trying to identify a man who burglarized a Southside Family Dollar store last month.

Police said the man kicked in the front glass door about 2:15 a.m. Aug. 25 at the store located at 3544 Beach Blvd.

Police said the man had a sharp object in his hand that he used to break the front glass door and tried to open the locked cigarette steel case.

After unsuccessful attempts, he fled the scene on foot.

The burglar is described as a white man wearing a blue ski mask, gloves and carrying a blue backpack.

Anyone who has any information on the man's identity is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
